    CMAA Important Message

    Dear Valued CMAA Members,

The wellbeing of our members and our community is our highest priority. The CMAA San Diego Chapter is closely monitoring the global pandemic of the COVID-19, and following the instructions given by the Federal, State, and Local Government. We are also closely monitoring the actions of our larger Cities, Agencies, and Owners.  As the CMAA communities around the nation work together to keep you and your families safe, we would like to reassure you that your health and well-being are top priorities for us as well.

Recent reporting states that California is not currently on the CDC hot spot list and we know that the construction industry must go on.  Thus our efforts in the field are still needed.  But we understand things can change rapidly.  But with your help maybe we can help prevent the spread of the virus further.  Here are a few tips that we as a Chapter are taking and some additional measures we encourage all our members to do moving forward:

    1. CMAA San Diego Chapter will adopt a “Handshake Free” policy for our events.
    2. Avoid close contact with people who are ill.
    3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
    4. Stay home and rest if you are ill.
    5. Cover your cough or sneeze with tissue.
    6. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available please use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    7. Stay home if you have recently traveled to a country with Sustained (Ongoing) transmission per CDC.

As a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to the growth and development of Construction Management, the San Diego Chapter cares deeply for the program participants we serve and the many team members that allow us in the industry to promote Construction Management.  As of now, the CMAA San Diego events are postponed through March and April. But please continue to monitor our website for any updates or changes to these events.  Should you feel the need to cancel or reschedule, CMAA will honor cancellations or refunds to events.  If you feel the need to cancel your registration please contact [email protected]  Our Annual Awards Banquet that was scheduled for April 16th is also being re-scheduled with more specific information on the re-scheduled date to come.

    Sincerely,
